Steve, John Kim and I took our yaks out to Shadowcliff yesterday to try our luck at some trout fishing. There were reports of some big fish caught recently, a six and seven pounder caught earlier this week. So, we were on the water by 8:30 on a beautiful day with very little wind and light boat traffic. Started trolling for nothing the first hour but caught three the next hour and got one more before noon. They were not the giants we were looking for but they were fun to catch. Steve got two in the afternoon, exactly the same size, right down to the 1/4 ounce. Poor John trolled around all day without even a hit. It just wasn’t his day. Don’t worry John, I’ve had many days like that.
My biggest fish went one pound, twelve ounces.
